EnHM was established in Asansol Division on 11thSept -2023 .This department is headed by Sr DME EnHM ASN. The EnHM Department of Asansol Division plays a pivotal role in maintaining environmental integrity and ensuring the cleanliness of railway premises since its commencement. Asansol division has 82 stations including 09 NGT stations with more than 6000 quarters in 25 colonies.The department is responsible for implementing a wide range of housekeeping activities, waste management processes, and green initiatives that contribute to a sustainable and eco-friendly railway environment. By focusing on both operational efficiency and environmental responsibility, EnHM serves as the backbone of the division's efforts to align with national and global sustainability goals.

Following works need to be monitored by EnHM Wing of Asansol division :
1. Monitoring and Co-ordination of functions for all environment related issues as below:
2 Waste Management activities, Cleanliness and Housekeeping of NGT identified stations including pest and rodent control.
3. Setting up and maintaining of Waste to Energy Conversion plant at NGT identified Stations.
4. Monitoring Water Audit and setting up of Rain Water harvesting plants as per directive of Railway Board.
5. Co-ordination and Compliance of Parliamentary Questions related to EnHM wing.
6. Up keep and maintenance of toilets and toilet fittings in identified Stations.
7. Organizing Swachhta Pakhwaras, World Environmental Day & Cleanliness Drives etc. in division.
8. Compliance to other directives received from EnHM Directorate time to time.
