Major Activities of IT Centre:-
1.AIMS/IPAS: (Accounting Information Management System/ Integrated Payroll Accounting System):-
Payroll: Generation & Printing of various payroll reports, Salary Reports and Generation & Processing of bill unit wise salary bills etc.
Incentive: Online Direct Workers Incentive entry, Processing, Validation & freezing, Incentive adjustment (if any), Generation of Incentive Appendix report, SSE Incentives generation etc.
I-Tax: Preparation of various I-Tax Reports (Annexure-I, II) to be uploaded to NSDL by Accounts.
Misc Activities: (i)IPAS User Management (Activation, Deactivation, Bill Unit Privilege, Sectional Privilege), (ii) Assisting & trouble shooting of various problem related to Cadre, Payroll, Leave, Bill Passing, Executive Bill, PF, Pension, Book etc. arising out from IPAS end user from time to time, (iii) Acquittance Statements & Other Managerial Reports as required by the Administration from time to time etc.
2.WISE (Workshop Information System):-
This system reflects total history of coach and loco entered in workshop, till its dispatch with system designed reports POH History, Berth Bay Report, Wagon Outturn Summary, RS Wise Assembly Report. Although, the database of WISE has been designed by IT Centre/KPA with collaboration of CRIS but being a workshop based package with day to day activity, it is now operated by workshop users. IT Centre/KPA is attached with populating Holiday List and mapping of some users in WISE portal as and when required.
3.WGR (Workshop General Register):-
WGR is a combine of (i) work order, (ii) Implementation of Online WGR module of WAMS (AIMS) and Implementation of Offline WGR module.
4.Revised Costing:-
(i) Offline Revised POH costing reports are being generated from D-base application.
(ii) Online Revised Electric Loco POH Costing reports are being generated from WAMS costing module.
5.Website Updation:-
Monitoring and regular updating of official website of Kanchrapara Workshop. (Under subsection of www.er.indianrailway.gov.in)
6.Centralized AMC of PCs & its peripherals and Internet Connectivity:-
Centralized AMC for Monitoring & Maintenance of all type of PC, Laptop, Printer, UPS etc under Kanchrapara Workshop and 300 MBPS Railnet network connectivity by outer agency.
Other Activities:-
(i) Technical vetting of IT related items i.e. PC & PC peripherals.
(ii) Handling of CWM/KPA’s official Twitter account and grievance redressal.
(iii) Procurement and monitoring of all items of PWP 2024-2025 under PH-17.
(iv) Procurement & distribution of IT hardware & other electronic items under the work of “Upliftment & Improvement of infrastructure for critical work centre of KPA workshop” under PH-42 controlled by Dy. CME(G)/KPA.
(v) Billing System of electric consumption for outside party (Private-172 Nos., Central govt.-28 Nos., KV School- 2 Nos.)
(vi) Successful running of VCs and other conferences organized time to time.
(vii) Addition of new assets M&P portal and providing computerized number of new M&P items.
