Howrah Division Launches Vigilance Awareness Campaign to Promote Transparency & Integrity

Howrah Division of Eastern Railway launched a Vigilance Awareness Campaign on 18th August 2025, which will continue till 17th November 2025. The campaign aims to promote transparency, accountability, and integrity among railway officials and staff, while also sensitizing them to the importance of ethical practices in public service.
The inaugural event was marked by an inspiring address from the Divisional Railway Manager, Howrah, who motivated the gathering by emphasizing the crucial role of honesty and vigilance in strengthening the trust of the people in the railways. The DRM urged all employees to remain committed to the values of fairness, transparency, and dedication in their work.
The program also featured key addresses by senior officials, including the Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Admin), Senior Divisional Personnel Officer, Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer (Loco), and Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer (Freight & EnHM). Each of them highlighted different aspects of vigilance, ranging from maintaining ethical conduct in day-to-day operations to ensuring efficiency, safety, and sustainable practices in railway functioning.
Through this initiative, Howrah Division reaffirms its commitment to creating a corruption-free environment while ensuring better service delivery to passengers. The campaign will include awareness programs, workshops, and interactive sessions over the coming months to spread the message of integrity and responsible governance across all levels of the division.
