ADDITIONAL 70,100 BERTHS  TO BE GENERATED BY RUNNING OF FOUR PUJA SPECIALS

Kolkata, August 19, 2025:

Running of special trains ensuing Puja holds significant benefits. The special trains catter to increased travel demand, offering more convenient and efficient transportation options for people wanting to celebrate. Additionally, these initiatives promote tourism, boost local economy and contribute to a sense of national unity and celebration during occasion like Puja and Diwali.  Keeping in the view to clear extra rush of passengers, Eastern Railway has decided to run four special trains between Howrah & Raxaul, Sealdah & Gorakhpur, Asansol & Patna and Asansol & Gorakhpur. Additional 70,100 berths will be generated by running this special trains. 

03043 Howrah – Raxaul Puja Special will leave Howrah at 23:00 hrs. o­n every Saturday between 27.09.2025 & 15.11.2025 (08 trips) to reach Raxaul at 16:15 hrs. o­n the next day and 03044 Raxaul – Howrah Puja Special will leave Raxaul at 17:45 hrs. o­n every Sunday between 28.09.2025  & 16.11.2025 (08 trips) to reach Howrah at 10:50 hrs o­n the next day. The special train will stop at Bandel, Barddhaman, Durgapur, Asansol, Chittaranjan, Madhupur and  Jasidih stations over Eastern Railway jurisdiction in both directions enroute. The train will have General Second Class, Sleeper Class & Air-conditioned accommodations.

03131 Sealdah – Gorakhpur Puja Special will leave Sealdah at 18:15 hrs. o­n every Tuesday & Thursday between  30.09.2025 & 18.11.2025  (15 trips) to reach Gorakhpur at 10:30 hrs. o­n the next day and  03132 Gorakhpur – Sealdah Puja Special will leave Gorakhpur  at 13:00 hrs. o­n every Wednesday & Friday between 01.10.2025 & 19.11.2025  (15 trips) to reach Sealdah  at 07:30 hrs. o­n the next day. The train will stop at Barddhaman, Durgapur, Asansol, Chittaranjan, Madhupur & Jasidih stations over Eastern Railway jurisdiction in both directions enroute. The train will have  General Second Class, Sleeper Class & Air-conditioned accommodations.

  03527 Asansol – Gorakhpur Puja Special will leave Asansol at 13:20 hrs. o­n every Friday between 26.09.2025 & 07.11.2025 (07 trips) to reach Gorakhpur at 03:30 hrs. o­n the next day and 03528 Gorakhpur – Asansol Puja Special will leave Gorakhpur at 06:30 hrs. o­n every Saturday between 27.09.2025 &  08.11.2025 (07 trips) to reach Asansol at 20:45 hrs. o­n the same day. The train will stop at Chittaranjan, Jamtara, Madhupur & Jasidih stations over Eastern Railway jurisdiction in both directions enroute. The train will have  General Second Class, Sleeper Class & Air-conditioned accommodations.

The booking of 03043 Howrah – Raxaul Puja Special, 03131 Sealdah – Gorakhpur Puja Special and 03527 Asansol – Gorakhpur Puja Special  is available through PRS & internet.

03511  Asansol – Patna Puja special  will leave Asansol at 13:20 hrs. o­n every Sunday between 19.10.2025 & 09.11.2025 (04 trips) to reach Patna at 20:15 hrs. o­n the same day and 03512 Patna – Asansol Puja special  will leave Patna  at 21:55 hrs. o­n every Sunday between 19.10.2025 & 09.11.2025 (04 trips) to reach Asansol at 04:50 hrs. o­n the next day. The train will stop at  Chittaranjan, Jamtara, Madhupur and  Jasidih stations over Eastern Railway jurisdiction in both directions enroute. The train will have  General Second Class, Sleeper Class & Air-conditioned accommodations.

The date of booking of 03511  Asansol – Patna Puja special will be available from 20.08.2025 through PRS & internet.
