ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING (GENERAL) DEPARTMENT

Electrical General Services of Malda Division works under the guidance & leadership of Senior Divisional Electrical Engineer (General). Sr. DEE/G is assisted by Assistant Electrical Engineer /MLDT.

Electrical General/ Malda has following wing-

1.General Power Supply.

2.Train lighting (TL)

3.Air conditioning (AC).

POWER WING- Look after and Maintain – illumination , fans, lift & escalators in Rly installations as well as air conditioning , operation of pumps for supply of drinking water & provision of emergency power supply through DG sets etc.  There are power wing depots at following location- MLDT, NFK, JRLE, BHW, SBG, BGP, SGG & JMP station.

TL WING- There are 4 coaching depots viz- MLDT, SBG, BGP, JMP for maintenance of TL coaches & primary train originates from the above location. Malda division having primary attention of 15 nos. Mail Exp, 06 nos. Passenger train and having 03 nos. Secondary Maintenance.

AC WING-There are 2 coaching depots viz- MLDT  & BGP for maintenance of AC  coaches & primary train originates from the above location. Malda division having primary attention in 13 nos.(6-MLDT, 7-BGP) mail exp. and Secondary Maintenance in 03 nos.  Mail exp (BGP) having AC coaches.
