  • Trains with Foreign Country:

The Maitree Express and Bandhan Express are two international passenger trains connecting with Bangladesh Railway. Five Up Maitree Express are being originated in a week from Kolkata Terminal on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday similarly five Down trains are being received from BanglaDesh on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.  Bandhan Express is being originated from KOAA on Sunday and Thursday as biweekly and runs to Khulna (BanglaDesh) via BNJ and biweekly down direction are being run on same days.

  • Freight Operations:

The major commodities loaded from this division are Container, Gunny Bales, and Fertilizer. Gunny Bales are loaded from Titagarh and Naihati, Containers are loaded from CTKR, KP Dock and CEDC whereas Fertilizers are loaded from KP Dock, CP, TGH.

The major commodities of Inward loaded received by this division are Cement, Fertilizer, Food Grain, Container, POL and Coal for thermal power plant.

The Division also has 13 Goods Sheds and 15 Industrial Sidings by which average  interchange of this division is 37.32 rakes per day.

  • Status of IT Project:-

          Goods related IT project RMS (Rake Management System) and TMS (Terminal Management System) under FOIS are functional at five and sixteen terminals respectively including proxy control, whereas Coaching related IT project ICMS (Integrated Coaching Management System) is functional at five terminals from where VG (Vehicle Guidance) is being generated for all originating Mail/Express as well as Passengers trains.

          Crew related IT project CMS (Crew Management System) is functional over all of seven Crew Booking Lobbies (SDAH Main & North, Sealdah South, KOAA, DDJ, NH, RHA & MJT) of this division. Twelve outmost stations are connected with CMS namely KRP, BPC, KNJ, STB, GEDE, BNJ, HNB, SPR, DH, CG, LKPR & NMKA. 

          Another project COA (Control Office Application) is also functional at all of five Control Boards of this division and it has already been integrated with ICMS and FOIS also.  

        SM related IT project online TSR has been implemented at five stations namely BLN, NACC, NH, KYI & CSZ in this division.

        Section-wise Caution Orders both permanent and temporary are being fed into COA module on regular basis.


        The Dataloggers of NHLC (Interchanging point with HWH) and three Coaching Terminals namely SDAH (Both RRI & EI), KOAA & LGL have been  integrated with COA. Bangaon (BNJ) junction is now under Datalogger - COA integration module.
