More About Responsibilities of Sr. Divisional Material Manager...

Sr.DMM is the Branch Officer who is the In-charge of Stores Branch in HWH Division with one Jr. Scale officer. The duties of Sr.DMM includes Purchase of Stock/Non-Stock items required by all the Branch Officers/HWH Division and utilized up-to the same power of purchase as HQ JAG Officers, and also required for Train Operations, Rolling Stock maintenance, Passenger Amenities items, items required for ART and ARMU, cleanliness, touch and feel items etc., monitoring and timely supply of stationery items to various offices/units in this Division, collection of all sorts of safety and operating materials required for train operation from feeding depot and issuing the same to wayside stations.

Moreover, newly introduced Scrap Sale Unit under Sr.DMM/HWH has sold Rs. 3023 Crores so far in this Covid pandemic year. Again co-ordination and mobilization for P.Way Scrap, condemned rolling stock and other scrap identification and offer on TMS or otherwise are being done by close liaison with  Engineering and Mechanical Departments or end to end footplating.  Apart from this, Survey and condemnation declared of all unserviceable stores, purchase through SPC etc are also part of the duty involves extensive journey within the Division.

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS

qE-Auction from Division : At present offer of 800 MT of Rail and other Engineering scrap is also available at this end and will be disposed within Dec ’21.  This year, other-than P-Way Scraps like, scrap-linen for Rs. 5.76 lakhs, TRD mast for Rs. 10.11 lakhs have been sold by Sr. DMM/HWH.  We have also earned total Rs. 19120/- by forfeiting the EMD amount from defaulted purchaser of Condemned P.way material.

qService Contracts on GeM portal: During the period, 37 Service Contracts of different categories are awarded so far in this FY and running satisfactorily.

qPaperless Working: During this period, all the files are being processed through e-office to appreciate paperless working and smooth functioning.
