Divisional Railway Manager is the Administrative Head and Chief Executive Officer of the Division. He is in overall charge of day-to-day train operations, maintenance of track, locomotives, coaches, wagons, station buildings and other fixed assets within the jurisdiction of the division. JOB PROFILE The role of Additional Divisional Railway Manager is to provide support to Divisional Railway Manager in General Administration. He is the overall incharge of:
1) Energy Conservation.
2) Punctuality of trains.
3) Asset failure.
4) Public as well as staff grievance/complaints.
5) Cleanliness and passenger amenities.
6) Procurement of stores.
7) Appellate Authority of all Discipline & Appeal cases.
8) Appellate Authority of all Right to Information cases.
Apart from these, Additional Divisional Railway Manager is overall incharge of Establishment matters of all departments and is required to deal with all the functions pertaining to promotion, seniority, selections, trade test. All files concerning Personnel Branch are disposed of by Additional Divisional Railway Manager for all matters except those which require specific approval/sanction of Divisional Railway Manager. He also co-ordinate with RRB and RRC for various examination for Group-C and Group-D posts. He is अपरमुख्यराजभाषाअधिकारी for this Division.
