OPERATING DEPARTMENT

1.0       GENERAL INFORMATION

1.1        Currently the Operating Department, Malda is headed by Sr. Divisional Operations Manager assisted by one           Divisional Operations Manager (G) is presently vacant, AOM(Goods), AOM(Coaching), AOM (safety) and post of Area Officer/Bhagalpur is presently vacant.


1.2         Malda Town, New Farakka, Sahibganj, Bhagalpur and Jamalpur are five major stations of Malda Divisionbeing supervised by Station Superintendent. Other medium and smaller stations are being looked after by the Sectional Traffic Inspectors, as detailedbelow:

Eight Sectional TIs are stationed two each at New Farakka, Bhagalpur, Jamalpur one at Sahibganj and one at Godda. In addition to above for assisting in day to day work of operations in the division following TIs are based at Malda TI/TP, TI/SWR, TI/CNL, TI/HQ, & TI/Chaser-I (TI/MPP, TI/IT & TI/Chaser-II These Three post are vacant).

Malda Town, Bhagalpur and Jamalpur Yards are functioning under supervision of CYMs posted thereon.

3.0Some importantachievementof 2022-23

Goods Loading

Up toJune 2022 Total revenue loading was 5.413 MT against 5.086 MT of corresponding period of last year an improvement of 6.43% more than the last year loading.

Goods Earnings

Up to June 2022 the total Goods earning of the division is `361.86 crores as compared to ` 313.80 crores of corresponding period of last year an improvement of 15.32% more than the last year Goods earning.

Punctuality of Mail Exp., Passenger & All BG Trains

Up to June 2022, we achieved Mail ExpressTrains of 92.11, as compared to 93.45 in same month of last year.

Up to June 2022, we achieved Passenger    Trains of 89.46, as compared to 85.02 in same month of last year.

Up to June 2022, we achieved All BG            Trains of 90.59, as compared to 88.88 in same month of last year.

Wagon Interchange

Up toJune 2022 avg. perday interchange is 7016 EWU against 5917 EWU. Month of the last year i.e. an improvement of 18.57% in comparison to same period of last year.

Performance of Inward Release

Up to June 2022 average per day inward release was 1191 EWU against 865 EWU correspondingmonth of last year.

Performance of Wagon Holding

Up to June 2022 average Wagon Holding per day was 3887 EWU/Day against 3536 EWU /Day correspondingmonth of last.

Electric Utilisation

Up to June 2022 average Electric Utilisation per day was 319 Av./Km against 423 Av./Km correspondingmonth of last year.

Diesel Utilisation

Up to June 2022 average Diesel Utilisation per day n was 355 Av./Km against 418 Av./Km correspondingmonth of last year.

Wagon Turn-Round

     Up to June 2022 WagonTurn-Round of Malda division is maintained at the level of 1.2
