• The Personnel Department of Malda Division deals with establishment and Pay Bill work of staff of all departments except few categories staff of Civil Engineering and Signal & Telecom Department.
•The activities of Personnel Department are managed by Sr.DPO who is assisted three APOs, 08 Welfare Inspectors. Personnel department is manned by a sanctioned strength 68 Ministerial Staff and 10 erstwhile Group-D Staff.
•Malda Division has got 01 Hospital, 03 Health Units, 01 School, 01 cooperative Societies, 02 Institutes, 07 Recreation Clubs, 01 Community Hall.
•Bharat Scouts & Guides is also functioning in this Division with more than 800 cadets.
•Personnel Branch is maintaining liaisons with authorities of 07 Civil Districts, 07 Corporations and Municipalities spreading over 03 States Bihar, Jharkhand & West Bengal.
•One Kendriya Vidyalaya at Malda is also being run with 100% sponsorship basis.
•UMID CARD : UMID Cards that given seamless opportunities to have treatment from any Railway Hospital across India. UMID Card Project has been 
implemented by Personnel Branch, Malda.
•HRMS Works : Project is at full swing. It would help in better management of Human Resource.
The Personnel Department undertakes its activities as per general instruction as well as the targets fixed by DRM/Malda, Head Quarters Office and Railway Board.
