Job Profile: | The Principal Chief Security Commissioner is the security custodian of all Railway assets, structures including track and fixtures, rolling stock, signalling gears and Railway buildings and establishments like Station premises, Booking Offices, Administrative Head Quarters etc. Besides, he is responsible for security of all fellow passengers, daily commuters, Railway staff on duty. He is assisted by Addl. Chief Security Commissioner, Sr. Commandants/ Divisional Security Commissioners. He possesses a well disciplined team of security men and Commandos (recently introduced) which ensures trouble free travelling of passengers, safe passage of goods and crime free environment in the Railways in co-ordination with State Police and other security agencies. |
