RPF/ER ORGANISING 75 DAY LONG EVENTS TO OBSERVE ‘AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV’


Kolkata, August 9, 2022:


       Commemorating India’s 75 year of independence, “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” honours and celebrates the story of India’s freedom struggle. As a part of the celebration of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, Railway Protection Force, Eastern Railway organizing 75 days long series of events like Cleanliness Drive, Jal Seva, Plantation, Honoring Freedom Fighters, Run for Unity, Motor Cycle Rally etc. o­n 08.08.2022 as a part of this celebration mobile video wall has been displayed along with RPF band show at Salar, Katwa, Nabadwip Dham, Ambika Kalna, Bandel & Mugra Railway station of Howrah Division to showcase the history and the achievements of RPF. Moreover, officers of Howrah division facilitate the family member of India’s Freedom Fighters 1. Sujas Chakraborty S/O Lt. Ahibhushan Ckakraborty – 2. Biswajit Das Roy S/O-Lt. Sati Rani Das Roy 3. Lt. Santi Rani Chowdhury 4. Lt. Sandhya Rani Banarjee S/O-Rathin Banarjee- were felicitated at Nabadwip Rly Station and 1. Sadhana Rani Sen –Pensioner, W/O- Lt. Shanti Ranjan Sen 2. Sandhya Chowdhury–Pensioner D/O- Lt. Ananto Kumar Chowdhury were also felicitated at Bandel Rly Station. Officers and staff of RPF Eastern Railway also conducted Cleanliness drive at Gosaingram railway station premises under RPF/Post/Azimganj of Howrah Division and RPF Post Jamtara under Asansol Division and Plantation of Saplings have been done at RPF Post/Malda, New Farakka, Jangipur, Barharwa, Kahalgaon, Sahibganj, Sultanganj, Bhagalpur Jamalpur & Jamalpur (WS) under Malda Division & Sealdah Main, Baruipara, Kamargachhi , Hind Motor & Bamangachi under Howrah Division to keep the Railway station and station area clean and green. Railway Protection Force, Eastern Railway also organized Run for Unity at Bhagalpur, Bali under Malda & Howrah Division respectively and Jal Seva programme at different major railway stations for local people and passengers.
