RPF,  EASTERN RAILWAY RETRIEVES AND RETURNS 271 LOST BELONGINGS WORTH RS. 39 LAKH TO THEIR OWNERS*

*Kolkata, July 7, 2024*

Eastern Railway, through its continued dedication to passenger service, has achieved significant success under "Operation Amanat." This initiative, led by Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel, has resulted in the retrieval of 271 lost belongings and luggage from train and station premises during the period from June 1 to June 30, 2024. These recovered items include bags, cash, laptops, mobiles, and other valuable articles worth approximately Rs. 39.18 lakhs.

The recovered belongings have been safely handed over to their respective owners, after proper verification. The owners have expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Eastern Railway for their prompt and efficient efforts in ensuring the safety and return of their valuable possessions.

Eastern Railway remains steadfast in its mission to enhance passenger experience and ensure the safety and security of all travelers. "Operation Amanat" will continue to be an integral part of our efforts to assist passengers and safeguard their belongings.
