ADDITIONAL 3000 BERTHS AND 10000 SEATS  GENERATED BY RUNNING KOLKATA -DIGHA -KOLKATA SPECIAL TRAIN


Kolkata, July  05, 2024:

Additional 3000 berths and 10000 seats will be generated by running Kolkata -Digha -Kolkata special train.  This initiative aims to accommodate the increasing demand for travel to Digha, a beloved destination among tourist, particular bengalees, seeking a quick gateway to enjoy the beautiful See beach.  Railways remains committed to prioritizing passenger comfort and convenience.  By proactively addressing passenger needs and introducing these special trains, Eastern Railway reaffirms its dedication to providing quality transportation services and ensuring a positive travel experience for all passengers. 

03161 Kolkata – Digha Special will leave Kolkata at 14:00 hrs. o­n every Sunday & Saturday between 07.07.2024 & 28.07.2024  (07 trips) to reach Digha  at 18:50 hrs. o­n the same day and 03162 Digha – Kolkata Special will leave Digha  at 19:10 hrs. o­n every Sunday & Saturday between 07.07.2024 & 28.07.2024  (07 trips) to reach Kolkata at 23:55 hrs. o­n the same day. The train will stop at Andul, Ulubaria, Bagnan, Mecheda, Tamluk and Kathi station in both directions enroute. The train will have general second class, second class seating , sleeper class and air-conditioned accommodations.
