GENERAL SECOND CLASS COACHS TO BE AUGMENTED IN TWO EXPRESS TRAINS

Kolkata, July 05, 2024:

The augmentation of General Second Class coaches in Popular Mail/Express trains is an o­ngoing initiative aimed at improving overall travel experience for passengers. Accordingly, In response to the huge demand for tickets throughout the year, Railway has decided to augment General Second class coach in following two Express trains o­n permanent basis by replacing Air- Conditional coaches.  

To clear extra rush of passengers, Railway has decided to augment of o­ne additional General second class coach by replacing o­ne AC 3-Tier coach with 12253/12254  SMVB Bengaluru - Bhagalpur - SMVB Bengaluru Anga express leaving SMVB Bengaluru with effect from 13.07.2024 & leaving Bhgaalpur with effect from 17.07.2024 and 17321/17322 Vasco Da Gama - Jasidih - Vasco Da Gama - express leaving Vasco Da Gama with effect from  05.07.2024  & leaving Jasidih with effect from 08.07.2024.

Moreover, o­ne additional General Second class coach  will be augumented with 17321/17322  Vasco Da Gama-Jasidih - Vasco Da Gama – express o­n permanent basic by replaceing o­ne AC-2 tire coach leaving Vasco Da Gama with effect from  01.11.2024  & leaving Jasidih with effect from 04.11.2024.
