*RPF, EASTERN RAILWAY RESCUED 10 MINORS UNDER OPERATION NANHEY FARISTEY*

*Kolkata, June 29, 2024*

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Eastern Railway continues its commitment to safeguarding children through "Operation Nanhey Faristey," ensuring the safety and protection of minors across various railway stations within Eastern Railway’s jurisdiction. o­n June 27, 2024, ten significant rescues were conducted as follows:

*Rescue of Five Minor Boys from Pakur Railway Station*

On June 27, 2024, o­n-duty RPF officials of RPF Post Pakur successfully rescued five minor boys from Platform No. 02 of Pakur Railway Station in the Howrah Division. The boys, identified as Rahim Sheikh (17), Ensuf Sheikh (6), Amman Seikh (15), Jalim Seikh (15), and Ravivul Seikh (13), were found wandering suspiciously o­n the platform. The boys were subsequently handed over to Jan Lok Kalyan Parishad, Baliharpur, Pakur for further course of action.

*Rescue of a Minor Boy from Howrah Railway Station*

On June 27, 2024, officials of RPF Post Howrah North rescued a minor boy, Pawan Kumar (16), from Platform No. 01 of Howrah Railway Station. Upon questioning, Pawan revealed that he had fled from his maternal uncle's house. He was handed over to Child Helpline, Howrah, for further course of action.

*Rescue of a Minor Boy from Howrah Railway Station*

On the same day, officials of RPF Post Howrah North rescued another minor boy, Abu Hasan (14), from the North Concourse area of Howrah Railway Station. Abu Hasan was also handed over to Child Helpline, Howrah, for further course of action.

*Rescue of Two Minor Girls from Sealdah Railway Station*

On June 27, 2024, during duty hours, officials of RPF Post Sealdah South rescued two minor girls from Platform Nos. 18/19 of Sealdah Railway Station in the Sealdah Division. The girls, identified as Sadia Parveen (10) and Afsana Khatoon (14), stated that they had fled from their homes. They were handed over to Child Helpline, Sealdah, for further course of action.

*Rescue of a Minor Boy from a Train at Barrackpore Railway Station*

On June 27, 2024, acting o­n a Rail Madad complaint, officials of RPF Post Barrackpore rescued a minor boy, Bablu (10), from Train No. 13178 at Barrackpore Railway Station. Bablu was handed over to Child Helpline, Sealdah, for further course of action.

These successful rescues are part of "Operation Nanhey Faristey," underscoring the commitment of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) to safeguard children and ensure their well-being. The RPF continues to remain vigilant and dedicated to protecting vulnerable minors across the railway network.
