EXTENDED RUN OF FARAKKA EXPRESS UP TO BHATINDA CELEBRATED THROUGH A FLAGGING OFF PROGRAMME AT MALDA TOWN

Kolkata, January 30, 2024

For the convenience of the people of Malda to reach beyond New Delhi for accessing Punjab area by a direct train link, Malda Town – Delhi – Malda Town Farakka Express has been extended up to Bhatinda.

13413 Malda Town – Bhatinda Farakka Express via Sultanpur (tri-weekly) will leave Malda Town at 19:35 hrs. o­n every Monday, Thursday & Saturday to arrive Bhatinda at 11:15 hrs. o­n the 3rd day whereas 13483 Malda Town – Bhatinda Farakka Express Via Ayodhya Dham (4 days a week) will leave Malda Town at 19:35 hrs. o­n every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Sunday and arrive Bhatinda at 10:00 hrs. o­n the third day.

In return journey, 13414 Bhatinda – Malda Town Farakka Express (via Sultanpur) will leave Bhatinda at 15:00 hrs. o­n every Monday, Wednesday & Saturday and reach Malda Town at 06:50 hrs. o­n the third day whereas 13484 Bhatinda – Malda Town Farakka Express (via Ayodhya) leaving Bhatinda o­n every Tuesday, Thursday & Friday at 16:25 hrs. will arrive Malda Town at 06:50 hrs. o­n the third day. 

After taking effect this extended run up to Bhatinda, a programme was organized at Malda Town station o­n Monday evening (29.1.2024) wherein Malda Town – Bhatinda Farakka Express was flagged off in presence of Shri Khagen Murmu, Hon’ble MP & Shri Vikash Chaube, Divisional Railway Manager, Malda and other dignitaries.

Speaking o­n the occasion, Shri Khagen Murmu, Hon’ble MP expressed his thanks to Hon’ble Railway Minister for arranging this extended route of Farakka Express in which Bhatinda is directly linked with Malda Town station via Delhi. 

This extension will also facilitate easy movement of passengers from Malda to the north-western past of India, which will be beneficial for tourists as well as for pilgrims, artisans, traders & business community.
