EASTERN  RAILWAY  TO  RUN  EMU  SPECIAL   FOR  RASH  YATRA  UTSAB
•TEMPORARY ADDITIONAL STOPPAGE AT BATHNA KRITTIBAS HALT

Kolkata,  November 20, 2023:

Rash Yatra Utsav is a highly revered festival in the Shantipur area, drawing massive crowds of devotees and celebrants. The event witnesses a significant surge in the number of pilgrims, necessitating additional transportation arrangements. To clear the anticipated rush of passengers & pilgrims o­n the occasion of Rash Yatra Utsab at Shantipur area, Eastern Railway’s Sealdah Division will provide temporary additional stoppage of 12 UP EMU trains & 10 Down EMU trains at Bathna Krittibas Halt station of two nights of 28/29.11.2023 to 29/30.11.2023 and  o­ne pair of special EMU local will run  between Sealdah & Shantipur station in the nights of  28/29.11.2023 & 29/30.11.2023.  These trains are strategically scheduled to accommodate the surge in travelers and contribute to the smooth flow of transportation during this festive period. 

 Out of 12 UP trains, 9 Sealdah – Santipur locals, 1 Ranaghat – Krishnanagar local, 1 Ranaghat – Santipur local  & 1 Bangaon – Santipur local and out of 10 Down trains, 7 Santipur – Sealdah locals, 2 Santipur – Ranaghat locals & 1 Santipur – Bangaon local will stop at Bathna Krittibas Halt station.

  Moreover, the Sealdah – Shantipur EMU special will leave Sealdah at 21:06 hrs. to reach Shantipur at 23:32 hrs. and Shantipur – Sealdah EMU special  will leave Shantipur at 00:10 hrs. to reach Sealdah at 02:35 hrs. The EMU special train will stop at all stations enroute including Flag & Halt stations.
