EASTERN RAILWAY'S SECURITY TEAM CONDUCTED RAID IN 77 TRAINS OVER HOWRAH DIVISION on SATURDAY

Eastern Railway is committed to stop carrying fire crackers and other inflammable articles in trains. Marching ahead in this direction special drives were conducted in the festive season by Eastern Railway’s Security team involving RPF, Commercial officers, staff and dog squad, which have been carried out across the Howrah Division since 08.11.2023. Drives were conducted in trains, Railway premises, parcel offices and station circulating areas.
The security team of Howrah Division conducted checking in as many as 77 trains on Saturday (18.11.2023) with a cumulative figure of raids conducted in 712 trains over Howrah Division so far.
In Howrah Division, the cumulative figure of cases detected/arrests made U/S 164 of Railways Act with recovery of Fire crackers, Kerosene stove etc. is 3 Nos, whereas the cumulative figure of cases registered / arrests made Under Section 167 of Railways Act is 148 Nos.
Such cracking checks against carrying of fire crackers in trains will continue over Eastern Railway.
