ADDITIONAL GENERAL MANAGER, EASTERN RAILWAY INSPECTED PASSENGER AMENITIES AND SAFETY SECURITY AT SEALDAH STATION

Shri Sumit Sarkar, Additional General Manager/Eastern Railway conducted an extensive inspection of Sealdah Station along with concerned branch officers of Sealdah Division to ensure the good standard of the passenger amenities along with proper security & other facilities at Sealdah during festive season.
Recognizing the importance of the festival and the surge in passenger traffic during this period, the focus of the inspection kept on assessing the readiness at Sealdah station to handle the festive rush. From cleanliness to safety, every aspect will be scrutinized to ensure passengers have a comfortable journey. Assessing the cleanliness and hygiene standards of platforms, waiting rooms, and restrooms etc.
Shri Sarkar, Additional General Manager advised all concerned that to ensure proper cleanliness & high standard of housekeeping at Sealdah station.
He also reviewed safety measures, especially on crowded platforms and inspected the functionality of CCTV cameras, adequate lighting, and public announcement systems. Checking the condition of First aid booth, drinking water facilities, food stalls, and ticket counters to make certain they are operational and up to the standards expected by the traveling public.
Additional General Manager/Eastern Railway Sri Sumit Sarkar emphasized that it is the duty of all Railway person to ensure that passengers can travel with ease, safety, and comfort during this festive season as part of ER's commitment for making the journey a memorable one.
