EASTERN RAILWAY TO RUN ADDITIONAL TRIPS OF CHHAT SPECIAL TRAINS

In the light of the upcoming Chhat festival, Eastern Railway is pleased to announce the run of additional trips of two special trains between Howrah & Raxaul and Kolkata & Patna with its existing path and timings. The Chhat festival, renowned for its fervor and enthusiasm, holds special significance in northern India. Due to the overwhelming demand during this festive period, regular trains often face unavailability of confirmed tickets, resulting in extensive waitlist. In response to this, Eastern Railway has decided to continue the run of two special trains to ensure that passengers who have been unable to secure tickets can still experience a seamless and timely journey. The continuation of these special trains aims to alleviate the inconvenience faced by travellers during the high demand Chhat festival.
03045 Howrah – Raxaul Chhat special train will leave Howrah on 20.11.2023 & 23.11.2023 and 03046 Raxaul – Howrah Chhat special will leave Raxaul on 21.11.2023 & 24.11.2023.
03133 Kolkata – Patna Chhat special (via Dankuni) will leave Kolkata on 21.11.2023 & 23.11.2023 and 03134 Patna – Kolkata Chhat special (via Dankuni) will leave Patna on 22.11.2023 & 24.11.2023.
Both the trains will have general second class & sleeper class coaches. 6912 berths will be generated by running above two additional trips of special trains.
Booking of tickets for the additional trips of Howrah – Raxaul special (03045) & Kolkata – Patna special (03133) is available through PRS & Internet. Special charges in addition to normal mail/express will be realized. Concessional booking is not allowed. Tatkal quota is not available.
