REGULATION OF CIRCULAR TRAINS FOR “GANGA BATH” & “DANDY” DURING CHHAT PUJA
Kolkata, November 17, 2023:
In anticipation of the large congregation of devotees expected to gather for “Ganga Bath” and “Dandy” during holy Chhat Puja, the Sealdah Division has proactively planned the regulation of circular railway trains from 09:00 hrs. of 19.11.2023 to 15:00 hrs. of 20.11.2023. Chhat Puja is a significant festival where thousands of devotees participate in rituals along the riverbanks. To ensure the safety and well-being of the devotees, Sealdah Division has decided to regulate circular railway services during this period. This precautionary measure aims to manage the crowd effectively and maintain a secure environment for the devotees participating in the sacred ceremonies.
Passengers are encouraged to plan their travel accordingly and stay informed about the adjusted train schedules. Sealdah Division is committed to providing a safe and secure travel experience for all passengers and wishes everyone a blessed Chhat Puja. Consequently, following arrangements in train running have been made on those days:
Regulation on 19.11.2023:
•Four (04) nos. of Circular Railway EMU local (30412, 30416, 30411 & 30451) will remain cancelled.
•Six (06) nos. of Circular Railway EMU local (30322, 30344, 30324, 30346, 30312 & 30314) will be short terminated at Kolkata Station and Six (06) nos. of Circular Railway EMU local (30145, 30351, 30333, 30311, 30331 & 30313) will be short originated from Kolkata station.
•Four (04) nos. of Circular Railway EMU local (30128, 30116, 30122 & 30154) will be diverted and short terminated at Sealdah (North) station.
•Four (04) nos. of Circular Railway EMU local (30121, 30113, 30111 & 30123) will be originated from Sealdah (North) station.
•Two (02) nos. of Circular Railway EMU local (30142 & 30332) will be diverted via Kankurgachi – Ballygunge to Majherhat and one (01) no. of Circular Railway EMU local (30353) will run via diverted route from Majherhat.
•One (01) no. of Circular Railway EMU local (30135) run via diverted route via Ballygunge.
•Two (02) nos. of Circular Railway EMU local (30511 & 30711) will be short terminated at Ballygunge and Two (02) nos. of Circular Railway EMU local (30712 & 30552) will be short originated from Ballygunge.
•Two (02) nos of Circular Railway EMU local (30321 & 30317) will be short originated from Ballygunge and run via Ballygunge - Kankurgachi.
•Two (02) nos. of Circular Railway EMU local (30342 & 30112) will be diverted and short terminated at Ballygunge.
Moreover, one Sealdah – Baruipur special will leave Sealdah at 19:10 hrs. and follow the path of 30451 from Ballygunge.
Regulation on 20.11.2023:
•Two (02) nos. of Circular Railway EMU local (30412 & 30411) will remain cancelled.
•Four (04) nos. of Circular Railway EMU local (30322, 30344, 30324 & 30346) will be short terminated at Kolkata Station and Four (04) nos. of Circular Railway EMU local (30145, 30351, 30333 & 30311) will be short originated from Kolkata station.
•Two (02) nos. of Circular Railway EMU local (30128 & 30116) will be diverted and short terminated at Sealdah (North) station.
•Two (02) nos. of Circular Railway EMU local (30121 & 30113) will be originated from Sealdah (North) station.
•One (01) nos. of Circular Railway EMU local (30142) will be diverted via Kankurgachi – Ballygunge to Majherhat.
•One (01) nos. of Circular Railway EMU local (30511) will be short terminated at Ballygunge and one (01) nos. of Circular Railway EMU local (30712) will be short originated from Ballygunge.
•One (01) no of Circular Railway EMU local (30321) will be short originated from Ballygunge and run via Ballygunge - Kankurgachi.
•One (01) no. of Circular Railway EMU local (30342) will be diverted and short terminated at Ballygunge.
Inconvenience to be caused to the passengers is deeply regretted.
