Eastern Railway has already announced the introduction of a special Vande Bharat Express train service to cater to the increased demand during the festive season. The Howrah-New Jalpaiguri-Howrah Vande Bharat Special train will run every Wednesday between November 15, 2023, and November 29, 2023, encompassing three trips. 02301 Howrah – New Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat Special will leave Howrah at 05:55 hrs. to reach New Jalpaiguri at 13:25 hrs. on the same day and 02302 New Jalpaiguri – Howrah Vande Bharat Special will leave New Jalpaiguri at 15:00 hrs. to reach Howrah at 22:35 hrs. on the same day. The train will stop at Bolpur, Malda Town & Barsoi stations enroute in both directions.
This special service aims to facilitate the travel plans of passengers eager to explore the enchanting hill city of Darjeeling during the Diwali and Chhat festivals. Recognizing the popularity of the Vande Bharat train for its modern amenities and distinctive design, Eastern Railway is confident that this special service will provide a delightful travel experience. The regular 22301/22302 Howrah-New Jalpaiguri-Howrah Vande Bharat Express operates every day except Wednesday. By introducing the Wednesday special service, Eastern Railway will generate an additional 6768 seats, providing much-needed relief to the surge in passenger numbers during this festive period.
Till now seats are available in the 02301 Howrah – New Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat Special on 15.11.2023, 22.11.2023 & 29.11.2023 as under:
15.11.2023: EC (Executive Class)-70, CC (AC Chair Car)- 907
22.11.2023: EC (Executive Class)-71, CC (AC Chair Car)- 922
29.11.2023: EC (Executive Class)-71, CC (AC Chair Car)- 912
