•Howrah-Gomti Nagar-Howrah Special To Be Genrated More Than 8000 Berths

In an effort to accommodate the surge in passenger demand during the festive season, Railway is pleased to announce the introduction of a special train between Howrah & Gomti Nagar. This initiative aims to alleviate the challenges faced by passengers unable to secure tickets on regular trains due to overwhelming waitlist.
The special train is strategically scheduled to ensure punctuality, offering a reliable mode of transportation for passengers to reach their destination without delays. Passengers aboard the special train can expect a high level of comfort & convenience, as the Railway authorities have ensured the availability of all necessary facilities. This proactive step by Indian Railways reflects its commitment to customer satisfaction and the seamless facilitation of travel, especially times of increased demand.
05080 Gomti Nagar – Howrah special train will leave Gomti Nagar at 15:55 hrs. on every Thursday between 16.11.2023 & 28.12.2023 (7 trips) to reach Howrah at 15:00 hrs. on the next day and 05079 Howrah – Gomti Nagar special train will leave Howrah at 16:20 hrs. on every Friday between 17.11.2023 & 29.12.2023 (7 trips) to reach Gomti Nagar at 14:55 hrs. on the next day.
The train will stop at Barddhaman, Durgapur, Asansol, Chittaranjan, Madhupur & Jasidih stations over Eastern Railway jurisdiction enroute in both the directions. The train will have general second class & sleeper class coaches. 8064 berths will be generated by running this special train.
Booking of tickets for 05079 Howrah – Gomti Nagar station will be available through PRS & Internet on & from 12.11.2023. Special charges in addition to normal mail/express will be realized. Concessional booking is not allowed. Tatkal quota is not available.
