Eastern Railway is pleased to announce a Chhath special train for the Hindu devotees to meet the growing demand of the much celebrated Chhath festival. This initiative aims to facilitate a seamless and comfortable travel experience for devotees and travellers looking to be part of this vibrant & significant festival. Chhath Puja – a festival of God Surya, specially the people of North India witnessed a massive surge in passenger traffic each year. In response to this, Eastern Railway has organized a Chhath Special train between Malda Town & Anand Vihar.
03435 Malda Town – Anand Vihar Special will leave Malda Town at 09:30 hrs. on 20.11.2023 & 27.11.2023 to reach Anand Vihar Terminal at 12:30 hrs. on the next day. 03436 Anand Vihar – Malda Town Special will leave Anand Vihar Terminal at 18:30 hrs. on 21.11.2023 & 28.11.2023 to reach Malda Town at 23:30 hrs. on the next day.
The train will stop at New Farakka, Barharwa Jn., Sahibganj Jn., Pirpainti, Kahalgaon, Bhagalpur, Sultanganj, Jamalpur & Abhaipur stations over Eastern Railway enroute in both directions. The train will have general second class, sleeper class & air-conditioned accommodation. This special train will be generated 4,384 Nos. of berths.
Booking of tickets for 03435 Malda Town – Anand Vihar Special will be available on & from 01.11.2023 through PRS & internet. In addition to mail/express fare, special charge will be realized. Concessional booking is not allowed. Tatkal quota is not available.
Passengers are encouraged to book their tickets in advance to secure their seats on this special train. Eastern Railway is committed to providing better services and maintaining safety measures on all its trains including the Chhath Special trains.
