Press Release:PUJA SPECIAL: EASTERN RAILWAY TO RUN 64 MAIL/EXPRESS AND 30 SUBURBAN SPECIALS DURING PUJA



Kolkata, October 20, 2023

As the joyous festivities of Durga Puja approach, Eastern Railway is proud to announce a special initiative to facilitate the travel needs of millions of devotees and travelers across the country. In an effort to cater to the expected surge in passengers during this auspicious occasion, Eastern Railway will be operating special trains to ensure a smooth and comfortable journey for all. In response to the overwhelming demand for train travel during the festive season, Eastern Railway has already decided to run 5 pairs Puja Special between Howrah &  Raxaul, 6 pairs between Sealdah & New Jalpaiguri, 6 pairs between Howrah & New Jalpaiguri and 6 pairs between Sealdah & Puri. Moreover, Railway has also decided to continue the service of  9 pairs special between Malda Town & Udhna. 

03043 Howrah – Raxaul Puja Special will leave Howrah at 23:00 hrs. o­n every Saturday between 21.10.2023 & 18.11.2023 (05 trips) to reach Raxaul at 14:15 hrs. o­n the next day and 03044 Raxaul – Howrah Puja Special will leave Raxaul at 16:55 hrs. o­n every Sunday between 22.10.2023 & 19.11.2023 (05 trips) to reach Howrah at 08:30 hrs. o­n the next day.
03103 Sealdah – New Jalpaiguri will leave Sealdah at 23:40 hrs. o­n every Saturday between 28.10.2023 & 25.11.2023 (5 trips) to reach New Jalpaiguri at 10:45 hrs. o­n the next day and 03104 New Jalpaiguri – Sealdah Puja Special will leave New Jalpaiguri at 12:45 hrs. o­n every Sunday between 29.10.2023 & 26.11.2023 (5 trips) to reach Sealdah at 00:30 hrs. o­n the next day.
82315 Sealdah – New Jalpaiguri Suvidha Puja Special will leave Sealdah at 23:40 hrs. o­n 21.10.2023 (Saturday) to reach New Jalpaiguri at 10:45 hrs. o­n the next day and 82316 New Jalpaiguri – Sealdah Suvidha Special will leave New Jalpaiguri at 12:45 hrs. o­n 22.10.2023 (Sunday) to reach Sealdah at 00:30 hrs. o­n the next day.
03027 Howrah – New Jalpaiguri Puja Special will leave Howrah at 23:55 hrs. o­n every Wednesday in between 01.11.2023 & 29.11.2023 (5 trips) to reach New Jalpaiguri at 10:45 hrs. o­n the next day and 03028 New Jalpaiguri – Howrah Puja Special will leave New Jalpaiguri at 12:45 hrs. o­n every Thursday in between 02.11.2023 & 30.11.2023 (5 trips) to reach Howrah at 00:10 hrs. o­n the next day.
82301 Howrah – New Jalpaiguri Suvidha Puja Special will leave Howrah at 23:55 hrs. o­n 25.10.2023 (Wednesday) to reach New Jalpaiguri at 10:45 hrs. o­n the next day and 82302 New Jalpaiguri – Howrah Suvidha Puja Special will leave New Jalpaiguri at 12:45 hrs. o­n 26.10.2023 (Thursday) to reach Howrah at 00:10 hrs. o­n the next day.
03101 Sealdah – Puri special will leave Sealdah at 19:20 hrs. o­n every Saturday between 21.10.2023 (Saptami) & 25.11.2023 (6 trips) to reach Puri at 04:15 hrs. o­n the next  day. 03102 Puri – Sealdah Puja special  will leave Puri at 15:15 hrs. o­n every Sunday between 22.10.2023 & 26.11.2023 (6 trips) to reach Sealdah at 02:00 hrs. o­n the next day.
09011 Udhna – Malda Town Special will leave Udhna o­n every Thursday between 05.10.2023 & 30.11.2023 (09 trips) and 09012 Malda Town – Udhna Special will leave Malda town o­n every Sunday between 08.10.2023 & 03.12.2023 (09 trips).

Moreover, Eastern Railway’s Sealdah Division,  Howrah Division and Asansol Division will run additional  18 nos EMU locals,  8 nos. EMU and 4 nos. MEMU Locals respectively during Durga Puja.
