As the festive fever of Durga Puja approaches, Eastern Railway announces an exciting travel option for the people of Bengal. Puri, a cherished destination for devotees and vacationers alike, experiences an overwhelming rush during the festive season, making train tickets to the vibrant city a prized possession. In light of this, to clear the extra rush of passengers, Eastern Railway has decided to run one Puja special train between Sealdah & Puri.
03101 Sealdah – Puri special will leave Sealdah at 19:20 hrs. on every Saturday between 21.10.2023 (Saptami) & 25.11.2023 (6 trips) to reach Puri at 04:15 hrs. on the next day. 03102 Puri – Sealdah Puja special will leave Puri at 15:15 hrs. on every Sunday between 22.10.2023 & 26.11.2023 (6 trips) to reach Sealdah at 02:00 hrs. on the next day.
The train will have air-conditioned accommodations. Booking of tickets for 03101 Sealdah – Puri special will be available through PRS & Internet. In addition to Mail/Express fare, special charge will be realized. Concessional booking will not be allowed. Tatkal quota will not be available.
Shri Kausik Mitra, Chief Public Relations Officer, Eastern Railway dedicated this special train to the travel enthusiasts of Bengal during the festive occasion of Durga Puja. Moreover, he is optimistic that this initiative by the Eastern Railway will provide a convenient and enjoyable travel experience, by allowing individuals to immerse themselves in the rich cultural festivities of the region.
He further added that this endeavour will not only facilitate seamless travel but also contribute to fostering a sense of community and celebration during this joyous occasion.
