Press Release:B. R. SINGH HOSPITAL EXCELS IN THE NATIONAL NEONATOLOGY FORUM (NNF) NURSING QUIZ DIVISIONAL ROUND



Kolkata, September 12, 2023

      The National Neonatology Forum is a strong and large body across India and abroad has been actively involved in advocacy, policy making, research and ensuring heath care to new-born for the four decades.  The National Neonatology Forum, West Bengal chapter, held its highly-anticipated NNF Nursing quiz divisional round o­n 10.09.2023 at the B. R. Singh Hospital Auditorium. 13 teams  from various institutes and medical colleges across West Bengal participated in the quize. In a thrilling competition, the B. R. Singh Hospital Team, comprising Nursing Superintendents Grindelia Mandal and Amrita Mondal from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at B. R. Singh Hospital, excelled as the  champions of the divisional round. Their remarkable performance not o­nly brought honour to B R Singh Hospital but also to the entire Railways family.

B.R Singh Hospital's Team’s outstanding victory has earned them the prestigious opportunity to represent the state of West Bengal in the upcoming Zonal round of the NNF Quiz. The team from NRS Medical College was the 1st Runner-Up, and RG Kar Medical College secured the 3rd position.

This remarkable event was organized by Ms. Parul Dutta and Ms. Baby Mondal, both esteemed personalities in the field of Paediatric Nursing, along with their dedicated team and the Paediatric team of B. R. Singh Hospital, including Dr. Debasish Bandyopadhyay, Assistant Chief Health Director (ACHD), IC, Paediatrics, and Dr. Sayantan Saha, Senior Divisional Medical Officer, Pediatrics. The event was graced by the presence of key members of the NNF West Bengal team, including Dr. Devjani Gupta, President; Dr. Suvendu Dey, Vice President; and Dr. Bhaswati Goshal, Secretary, who offered their invaluable support and guidance throughout the event.
