Press Release:RENOVATED AND UPGRADED INTENSIVE CARE UNIT OPENED AT KANCHRAPARA RAILWAY HOSPITAL



Kolkata, September 12, 2023 :

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Kanchrapara Railway Hospital has recently been renovated with both engineering and electrical works and addition of several modern medical gadgets.  This upgraded ICU has been commissioned by Shri Amar Prakash Dwivedi, General Manager/Eastern Railway during his visit at Kanchrapara Railway Hospital o­n 09.09.2023. The ICU has a Central Monitoring system which connects all the 8 beds.  

The ICU at Kanchrapara Railway Hospital has a dedicated facility for critically ill patients who require invasive and non-invasive life support, high levels of medical and nursing services. ICU has the capacity of continuous observation of vital functions of the patients and can support these functions more promptly and efficiently than elsewhere in the hospital.

This ICU at Kanchrapara Railway Hospital is a Multi-Disciplinary ICU. This ICU is well equipped with the following features :
1)Central Monitoring Station.
2)ABG Analyser.
3)Invasive Ventilator.
4)BiPAP Ventilator.
5)High Flow Nasal Oxygen.
6)Oxygen Concentrator.
7)Cardiac Defibrillator.
8)Syringe Pump Infusion.
9)Central Oxygen Line.
10)Suction Machine.
11)Portable X-Ray Unit.
