Under the inspiring leadership and guidance of Shri Arun Arora, General Manager, Eastern Railway, Howrah Division is trying to maximize its Ticket Checking Earnings. Divisional Railway Manager, Howrah has made officers aware of the importance of completing the task of maximizing revenue from Ticket Checking. As a result of such continuous endeavour, the total earnings from Ticket Checking by Howrah Division during the current financial year (2022–23) till February 2023 have already surpassed the earnings of this division in the entire period of the previous financial year (i.e., April 2021 to March 2022).
The total Ticket Checking earnings of Howrah Division upto February 2023 in the current financial year is Rs. 37,00,84,555 from 8,36,285 cases, which is 145.26% higher than the total earnings of Rs. 15,08,92,185 in the previous financial year (2021–22) from 5,30,856 cases.
