Press Release:REVISED REGULATION OF TRAINS FOR COMMISSIONING OF 3RD LINE BETWEEN NAIHATI & KALYANI


DRM/Sealdah hold a press conference to inform negligible repercussions in train movement in connection with the developmental work

Kolkata, March 13, 2023

Shri Deepak Nigam, Divisional Railway Manager, Sealdah hold a press conference today (13.3.2023) in connection with non-interlocking work for commissioning of 3rd line with automatic signalling work between Naihati & Kalyani. Keeping in mind The Higher Secondary Examination of Govt. of West Bengal, it has been decided to revise the NI Work programme and o­nly 13 pairs of trains will be remained cancel o­n 14.3.2023 between Sealdah & Kalyani. Beyond Kalyani, o­nly 6 pairs of trains will remain cancelled. There will be no diversion of trains. From 15.3.2023 to 19.3.2023, 21 pairs of trains between Sealdah & Kalyani will remain cancelled o­n an average.

Moreover, during the period 14 pairs of passenger specials will run between Kalyani & Kalyani Simanta (between 05:00 hrs. & 22:00 hrs.). However, for the convenience of Higher Secondary examinees, Sealdah division will provide temporary additional stoppages o
f some EMU/Passenger trains of few trains at Payradanga, Jagaddal, Kankinara and Palta stations during the day of examination.
