RPF/ER PLAYS PIVOTAL ROLE FOR THE SAFETY OF PASSENGERS

Railway Protection Force (RPF), Eastern Railway always plays a dynamic role to provide full scale security to the rail users ranging from rescuing teenaged boys & girls, recovering narcotics and left behind luggage. They have also rendered commendable services to extend assistance to the rail users besides their task of ensuring security to the passengers. Some of the recent incidents where RPF/ER made its commendable efforts are detailed as under :-


    1.On 16.09.2022, under ‘Operation Nanhe Fariste’, officials of RPF Post/Bolpur rescued o­ne teenage girl who was roaming aimlessly in DN Kanchanjungha Express. She had fled away from home due to family discord and was handed over to Child Line/ Birbhum under due documentation for further disposal. o­n the same day officials of RPF Post/Howrah South rescued another teenage girl who was roaming aimlessly at Howrah Railway Station. She was not able to disclose her address properly and was handed over to Child Line/ Howrah under due documentation for further disposal.  


    2.On 16.09.2022, under ’Operation Sewa’, officials of RPF Out Post/Basirhat and GRPS/Basirhat  rescued an injured male person lying at Basirhat Railway Station. He had fallen down from running Train DN Hasnabad–Sealdah Local o­n platform and sustained injury. After necesssary assistance he was shifted to Barasat District Hospital for treatment.


    3.On 16.09.2022, under ‘Operation Mahila Suraksha’, officials of RPF/ER arrested 101 persons who were travelling in compartment reserved for Ladies. They were prosecuted under the Railway Act.


    4.On 16.09.2022, under ‘Operation Amanat’, official of RPF CS-CA Post/Sealdah retrieved a left behind bag containing o­ne gold chain, personal belongings total valued Rs 25000/-from Train DN Padatik Express at Sealdah Railway Station and was handed over to its owner after proper verification & documentation.
