DRM/ASANSOL INAGURATED ALLOTMENT SYSTEM OF YATRI NIWAS AT ASANSOL STATION CIRCULATING AREA

Shri Permanand Sharma, Divisional Railway Manager, Eastern Railway, Asansol inaugurated the allotment system of Yatri Niwas at Northside of the circulating area of Asansol station today (28.01.2022). It is an endevour to generate more non-fare revenue to Railway exchequer. Eastern Railway’s Asansol Division has awarded the innovative contract of Yatri Niwas at Asansol station to M/s Raghunathpur Kishalay, Purulia for 01 (one) year contractual period under New Innovative Non-Fare Revenue Ideas Scheme (NINFRIS).
This contract will in term fetch nonfare revenue to the tune of Rs. 2 Lakh per annum to Railway.
This two-story building will be very helpful to accommodate the intending passengers to stay at Asansol after deboarding from a train especially at night. Charges of Yatri Niwas are AC Double bed-Rs.1000/- per room per day, Non-AC Double bed-Rs.600/- per room per day, & Dormitory - Rs.250/- per bed per day.
