HIGHEST EVER LOADING OF WAGONS on A SINGLE DAY IN ER’S ASANSOL DIVISION
Kolkata, April 1, 2021:
Eastern Railway’s Asansol Division has achieved a highest ever single day loading of 102 rakes comprising of 5201 wagons on 31.3.2021 surpassing the previous best of 4911 wagons on 31.3.2019. Among these 102 rakes, 66 rakes (3691 wagons) were loaded with coal and 36 rakes (1510 wagons) with other goods. Asansol Division has also earned approximately Rs.26 crores on that day from freight loading which is highest ever on a single day.
ER’s officers & staff are dedicated to maintain a continuous improvement in freight business and moving different commodities and industrial outputs to different corners of the country by working on 24 x 7 basis.
