•AWARENESS CAMPAIGN GOING on AT STATIONS & IN TRAINS

With the restoration of EMU services in both Howrah & Sealdah Divisions, EMU locals are running smoothly catering to the transportation needs of the passengers. The Railway authorities enhanced the number of EMU trains keeping in view the health & hygiene protocols of the commuters. It has enabled the passengers to avail train services in short succession and thereby to avoid overcrowding in platforms as well as in running trains.
Elaborate campaign has been launched by ER as a part of ‘Jan Andolan’ campaign to motivate people to observe Covid appropriate behaviour. Awareness building posters regarding preventive steps to be taken against Covid-19 are being affixed at different suburban stations. Awareness building jingles are played through public address system at different stations as well as in running trains. Pamphlets are also distributed among the passengers at stations to build awareness about COVID-19.
It is stated that all the EMU locals and platforms are being sanitized every day to combat the spread of COVID-19. For implementation of physical distancing, it is reiterated to request the passengers to maintain sitting discipline of availing alternate seats, observing earmarking of seats during journey. Passengers are also requested to maintain COVID-19 health protocol and to avoid overcrowding, maintain physical distancing and use of MASKS/FACE COVERS AS MANDATORY, carry handy sanitizer and not to avail train journey if they feel physically unwell.
RPF/ER using portable public address system is also spreading the message of Covid protocols to be followed by the passengers at stations.
Thus, ER has made allround efforts to build public awareness to combat COVID-19. ER appeals to all the passengers to continue cooperation as they extended in the direction of maintaining awareness against COVID-19 and be safe and motivate others to be safe in resisting COVID-19.
Last but not the least, ER regards passengers for their brilliant cooperation in maintaining Covid appropriate behaviour in the New Normal situation.
