  • Also, you can call *139# to avail the USSD facility for all the above enquiries.

  • Railway Mobile Instant Tracking Response and Assistance (R-MITRA) App. to ensure security of the people especially for the women who travel on the suburban network of Eastern Railway may be downloaded from Google Play Store.

  • If a person does not have a smart phone then he can simply type ERAILHELP <a custom message> and send it to 56161 for quick assistance.

  • Toll Security Helpline Number, 1800-111-322 and 182 :  Provide speedy assistance to passengers in the event of thefts, harassment, pick pocketing or other criminal incidents on rail premises. 

  • Toll Free Customer helpline number 138 : The helpline will address complaints relating to cleanliness, food and catering, coach maintenance, medical emergency, linen etc.

  • Toll Free telephone No. 1800-111-139 and 1800-111-321 : For suggestions/grievances relating to catering services (Overcharging, Food Price, Less Quality etc.) on Indian Railways. The facility is available 247 on these numbers.

  • Railway Enquiry Customer Care Number  139 (Chargeable) :  For PNR enquiry, Accommodation availability, Fare enquiry, Current train running position, IRCTC relevant information including information through SMS.

  • Tweeter : You can Tweet directly to Ministry of Railways for any kind of Journey related complaint like Safety, Security, Medical, Electricity, Corruption, Over Pricing, Bed rolls, Food/Catering etc. Tweeter handles : @RailMinIndia and @EasternRailway

  • All Railway Passenger in any situation can dial 182 Toll Free RPF Helpline for providing quick help including medical help.
