1.0GENERAL INFORMATION

1.1The Operating Department, Malda is headed by Sr. Divisional Operations Manager assisted by one Divisional Operations Manager (G), ThreeAsstt. Operations Managers and one Area Officer stationed at Bhagalpur.

1.1Malda Town,New Farakka, Sahibganj, Bhagalpur and Jamalpur are five major stations of Malda Divisionbeing supervised by Station Superintendent. Other medium and smaller stations are being looked after by the Sectional Traffic Inspectors, as detailedbelow:

Seven Sectional TIs are sanctioned two each at New Farakka, Bhagalpur, Jamalpur and one at Sahibganj. TI/Man-power Planning, TI/Trans Planning, TI/SWR, TI/IT, TI/Control, TI/HQ and TI/Chaser are stationed at Malda Town to assist the Divisional working. Malda Town, Bhagalpur and Jamalpur Yards are functioning under supervision of CYMs posted thereon.

3.0Some important achievement of 2018-19

Goods Loading

During August 2018 total revenue loading is 1.006 mT as compared to 0.850 mT during the corresponding period of last year i.e. an improvement of 18.35 % in comparison to same period of last year.

However, upto August 2018 the total revenue loading is 5.166 mT as compared to 4.654 mT during the corresponding period of last year i.e. an improvement of 13.19 % in comparison to same period of last year.

Goods Earnings

During August 2018 total Goods earnings is ` 51.91 crores against ` 40.61 crores of corresponding period of last year i.e. an improvement of 27.85 % in comparison to same period of last year.

Upto August 2018 the total Goods earning of the division is ` 275.92 crores as compared to ` 245.23 crores during the same period of last year i.e. an improvement of 12.51 % in comparison to same period of last year.

Punctuality of Mail & Passenger Trains

·During August 2018, we achieved Mail Express Trains of 86.64, as compared to 96.47 in same month of last year.

Upto August 2018, we achieved Mail Express Trains of 81.27, as compared to 95.85in same month of last year.

·During August 2018, we achieved Passenger Trains of 82.69, as compared to 95.49 in same month of last year.

Upto August 2018, we achieved Mail Trains of 77.80, as compared to 94.10in same month of last year.

Wagon Interchange

During August 2018 (upto 20th), avg. per day interchange is 4497 EWU against 3202 EWU month of the last yeari.e. an improvement of 40.44 % in comparison to same period of last year.

Upto August 2018 (upto 20th) avg. per day interchange is 4344 EWU against 3979 EWU. month of the last year i.e. an improvement of 9.17 % in comparison to same period of last year.

Wagon Turn-Round

·Wagon Turn-Round of the division is maintained at the levelof 1.2.
