Job Profile: 

Senior Divl. Electrical Engineer(Traction Distribution), Asansol is the Officer in immediate charge of Traction Distribution of Asansol Division, responsible for all technical and organizational matters connected with the efficient maintenance and operation of the power supply installations, Over Head Equipment and Remote Control equipment. He is entrusted with general planning and supervision to ensure efficient and safe maintenance and operation of the Power Supply Installations and Over Head Equipment installations under his charge in accordance with prescribed schedules and regulations, overall co-ordination at the divisional level with Operating and other departments to plan Power Blocks required for maintenance of Over Head Equipment, man-power planning, statistical analysis and compilation of details of all defects and failures, liaison with power supply authorities, preparation of budget for traction distribution section and control over expenditure for operation and maintenance, scrutiny and passing of power supply bills, inspections of Traction Distribution installations.



ORGANISATION:

Asansol division is having 1425.67 Track Kilometers (TKM) (320.58 RKM) of wired lines out of which 873.72 TKM are in Khana (Excl) - Pradhankhunta (Excl) section (from KM No. 120/63-64 to 260/05-06), 352.80 TKM in Sitarampur – Jhajha (Excl) section (from KM No. 221 to 364/13-14) and newly electrified 199.15 TKM (44.56 RKM) in Andal –Kachujor (Excl.) section (from KM No. 186/1AP to 44/27-28). AVAILIBILITY OF TOWER WAGON :

 

Division is  presently  holding  four  Mark-II  4-Wheeler Tower Wagons,  two Mark-III  4-Wheeler Tower Wagons, three Mark-IV  4-Wheeler  Tower Wagons and three nos. 8-Wheeler Tower Wagons. Out of these, one Mark-II 4 Wheeler and one 8-Wheeler are under repair.

SWITCHING STATIONS.

Power supply arrangement of this division consists of 02 Feeding Posts (FP) at Kumardhubi & Waria, 02 Traction Sub-stations (TSS) at Jamtara & Sankarpur, 06 Sectioning Posts (SP) at Mankar, Kalipahari, Kalubathan, Chittaranjan, Joramow & Lahabon and 15 Sub-sectioning & Paralleing Posts (SSP) at Galsi, Rajbandh, Andal, Asansol, Sitarampur, Salanpur, Kaseetar, Vidyasagar, Madhupur, Mathurapur, Jasidih, Simultala, Andal-II, Ukhra, Pandabeshwar (to be converted as TSS) & Dubrajpur (newly commissioned). There are 4 Switching Stations at Durgapur, Raniganj, Kalinarayanpur & DCOP  and 02 Switching Cubicles at Kulti & Barachak.
