Job profile: Chief Medical Superintendent, Eastern Railway, Asansol is the overall in charge of Medical Department of Asansol Division. His job is to monitor and improve the Medical Department of Asansol Division by giving technical and administrative guidance to doctors and paramedical staff. Budget control of the Medical Department of Asansol Division. Provide and maintain accident relief medical equipment (ARME) including First Aid Boxes to give prompt relief to passengers injured in railway accidents. Referral Hospital from all Health Units of Asansol Division. Patients are also being referred from the adjacent Railway Division (Adra). This railway Hospital of the Asansol Division of Eastern Railway provides 100% healthcare, starting from preventive and primary & secondary to all the staff and their dependent family members.
Same Health care also available for the retired staffs and their dependent family members from all over Indian Railways who has opted for the treatment at this hospital.

CASUALITY:
The Casualty department runs round the clock. This well equipped department, run by efficient medical professionals and is capable of handling all sorts of emergencies. Specialist senior doctors are available round the clock in all the major disciplines. Availability of senior specialists particularly in Medicines, Surgery, Orthopaedic, G&O, and Eye & ENT for 24X7 is quite rare even in many reputed corporate hospitals. This is a great service Indian Railway is providing to its beneficiaries.

OPD Services:


OPD and Clinics in various specialities, separate OPD facility for retired employees and their dependents run daily on week days from 9 am to 01:00 pm and 03:30 to 05:30 PM from Monday to Saturday.

Medicine Department
Medicine department provides all types of basic specialist services in medicine branch including external pacemaker facilities and TMT services & defibrillation facilities.

ICCU : 5 bedded Unit: renders commendable life saving services

Surgery : This department is under high demand among railway population and an exclusive long queue always stands for laparoscopy services.

Surgical ICCU : Two bedded Unit. Post operative cases are cared herein.

Gynaeo & Obstetrics:                     

This department is highly lauded particularly for dedicated obstetric services. All types of Gynaecology services are done including laparoscopy.


Paediatrics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Dental, Biochemistry, Pathology and Radiology departments are also doing commendable job in the respective fields. All the departments are using latest technologies and gadgets for management of their patients.

24X7 in-house Blood bank service is also a very important support. Very few hospitals in the city has this facility. Ambulance service available for round the clock.

Provision of Medical service to the passengers in the trains over Asansol Division, E.Rly.
A Prescribed protocol in Disaster Management maintained and also operate Accident Relief Medical Van to provide Relief during disaster inside & outside the Asansol Division.


We maintain an AC Mortuary.

Advertisement for the post of Residential House Staff In the Department of Medicine &   Surgery at Divisional Rly.Hospital/ Eastern Railway/ Asansol

(HOUSE STAFF IN GENERAL MEDICINE & SURGERY REQUIRED)

Application are invited from Medical Graduates( M.B.B.S) who have completed one-year internship for appointment as House Staff in the department of General Medicine & General Surgery in the Divl. Rly.Hospital , Eastern Railway, Asansol-713301, W.B. The total tenure of a House Staff should not exceed two years which will be in the form of two terms of one year each . Their stipend will be Rs.26,969 /- ( Rs. Twenty Six Thousand Nine Hundred  Sixty Nine only).

Interested candidates are requested to appear in the interview with application containing bio-date and attested copy of all certificates including mark sheets in original along with original Attempt certificate, Permanent Registration Certificate ( From Medical Council) for selection, at 15.00 hrs on 29.05.17 in the chamber of Addl.Ch.Med. Supdt.(Admn.)/ E.Rly / ASN-713301/WB. If on scheduled date ( date of selection) any holiday or Bandh will be declared the selection date will be on next working day at same time.

Candidates appearing for interview will have to bear their own cost. Hospital is recognized by the Medical Council of India for post graduate training in the above subject. Austerity type of accommodation will be provided in the Hospital campus.
