Job profile: Chief Medical Superintendent, Eastern Railway, Asansol is the overall in charge of Medical Department of Asansol Division. His job is to monitor and improve the Medical Department of Asansol Division by giving technical and administrative guidance to doctors and paramedical staff. Referral Hospital from all Health Units of Asansol Division. Patients are also being referred from the adjacent Railway Division (Adra). This railway Hospital of the Asansol Division of Eastern Railway provides 100% healthcare, starting from preventive and primary & secondary to all the staff and their dependent family members.
Same Health care also available for the retired staffs and their dependent family members from all over Indian Railways who has opted for the treatment at this hospital.

CASUALITY:
The Casualty department runs round the clock. This well equipped department, run by efficient medical professionals and is capable of handling all sorts of emergencies. Specialist senior doctors are available round the clock in all the major disciplines. Availability of senior specialists particularly in Medicines, Surgery, Orthopaedic, G&O, and Eye & ENT for 24X7 is quite rare even in many reputed corporate hospitals. This is a great service Indian Railway is providing to its beneficiaries.

OPD Services:


OPD and Clinics in various specialities, separate OPD facility for retired employees and their dependents run daily on week days from 9 am to 01:00 pm and 03:30 to 05:30 PM from Monday to Saturday.

Medicine Department
Medicine department provides all types of basic specialist services in medicine branch including external pacemaker facilities and TMT services & defibrillation facilities.

ICCU : 5 bedded Unit: renders commendable life saving services

Surgery : This department is under high demand among railway population and an exclusive long queue always stands for laparoscopy services.

Surgical ICCU : Two bedded Unit. Post operative cases are cared herein.

Gynaeo & Obstetrics:                     

This department is highly lauded particularly for dedicated obstetric services. All types of Gynaecology services are done including laparoscopy.


Paediatrics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Dental, Biochemistry, Pathology and Radiology departments are also doing commendable job in the respective fields. All the departments are using latest technologies and gadgets for management of their patients.

24X7 in-house Blood bank service is also a very important support. Very few hospitals in the city has this facility. Ambulance service available for round the clock.

Provision of Medical service to the passengers in the trains over Asansol Division, E.Rly.
A Prescribed protocol in Disaster Management maintained and also operate Accident Relief Medical Van to provide Relief during disaster inside & outside the Asansol Division.


We maintain an AC Mortuary.


Physiotherapy department is manned by a Physiotherapist and is very popular amidst railway beneficiaries particularly among senior citizen.

WALK- IN INTERVIEW FOR ENGAGEMENT OF CONTRACT MEDICAL PRACTITIONER

        Divisional Railway Hospital /E.Rly./ Asansol  desires  of doctors to be engaged as “ Contract Medical Practitioner” on full time contract basis for a duration of one year in Asansol Division for Asansol RH & Andal HUon the following terms & condition:- Who satisfy the requisite qualification & age and are willing for the above engagement are requested to report with all certificates for walk- in interview report to Chief medical superintendent, Eastern Railway, Asansol- 713301. Date of Interview: 25.04.2018, Reporting Time : 12.00 hrs.If on scheduled date(date of interview) any holiday or Bandh declared at that date the interview date will be on next working day at same time. While attending the interview, the candidates are requested to bring relevant certificates in original with attested copies of the same in support of age, qualification, medical registration, experience etc. and two passport size photographs self attested and application duly filled in as per format given.( with one of the two photographs pasted). Terms and conditions : 1. Name of the post : Contract Medical Practitioner(CMP) on full time engagement. 2. Nature of Engagement : The engagement purely on contractual  basis for one year or till regularly UPSC selected Doctors (ADMO/DMO/Sr.DMO) become available whichever is earlier. Further the services of these doctors are also terminable before the expiry of one year. It will also not confer any right for automatic regularization. 3. (a) Retired IRMS officers/Retired Government medical officers of State Govt.or Central Govt. up to the age of 65 years are also eligible to engage themselves as CMPs and for the same, Remuneration : i)Rs.60000 /- per GDMO ii) Rs.70000 /- per month for specialist (1st yrs. ) & Rs.80000/- (2nd yrs. Onward).If Govt. accommodation is not provided CMP for whom Railway accommodation is provided with an amount equivalent to the sum of HRA and license fee of the accommodation. 

So provided will be deducted from the monthly remuneration. Ii) Retired Railway or Govt. Doctors will get fixed remuneration Rs.46000/- per month subject to the condition that pay plus pension should not be more than the last pay drawn with  the same terms & condition as per board’s instructions dated 16.07.2012 4. Other Facilities : One set of 1st  class complimentary pass for self & family during each contract service which shall be issued after three months of regular contract service ( except retired railway doctors).CMP can avail free medical treatment for self only . other condition apply expenses on out station journey connected with contracted work will be borne by the Railway daily allowance at specified rates will be admissible for such work. 5. Qualification : MBBS from a recognized university and must have completed rotating internship for one year and should be in possession of a valid Registration Certificate of any of the State Medical Council of India in case of specialists they should have P.G. Qualification / Diploma /Degree in the specialty ,which is recognized by MCI. 6. No.Of Posts. One post in Asansol & One post in Andal. 8. AGE : (a) Not exceeding 50 yrs. as on 01.01.2018 ( 5yrs.age relaxation for

SC /ST and 3 yrs. for OBC ) (b) Not exceeding 65 yrs. for retired IRMS Officer subject to maximum five terms of one year each. Reservation policy will be followed per extant rules.
