Train with Foreign Country: The Maitree Express is an only international passenger train connecting with Bangladesh Railway. Four
Up Maitree Express are being originated in a week from Kolkata Terminal on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday similarly four Down
trains are being received from BanglaDesh on Sunday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
Average 155 numbers of Freight wagons are being interchanged daily wise in average via Gede and Petrapole interchanging points with BanglaDesh Railway.
The Division mainly loads container from KP Dock, Katapukur in Majherhat and Cossipore, Gunny bags from Titagarh&Naihati and Crude
palm oil from Budge Budge. The Division also has 17 goods sheds and 19 industrial sidings by which average 19/19 Up and Dn goods trains
per day in average are dealt by the division.
Status of IT Project:-
Goods related IT project RMS (Rake Management System) and TMS (Terminal Management System) under FOIS are functional at
four and fourteen terminals respectively including proxy control whereas Coaching related IT project ICMS (Integrated Coaching
Management System) is functional at six terminals from where VG (Vehicle Guidance) is being generated for all originating Mail/Express
as well as Passengers trains.
Crew related IT project CMS (Crew Management System)is functional over all of six Crew Booking Lobby of this division and COA (Control Office Application) is also functional at all of five Control Boards of this division and it has already been integrated with ICMS and FOIS also.
Highlights/Events of the previous Month:-
During August 17, about 6.9 crore nos. of passengers were dealt in this division.
84 of extra coaches were augmented in Mail/Express trains to clear the passenger rush August, 17.
During August 17, punctuality percentage of Mail/Express, MR, Passenger and EMU trains are 98.3%, 100%, 98% & 98.1%
