MECHANICAL(POWER) DEPARTMENT

 

Introduction:

 

Howrah Division is spreader in the District of Howrah, Hooghly, Barddhaman, Birbhum, Murshidabad and Dumka (State of Jharkhand). And also ply the train over the Division of SDAH, MLDT, ASN, DHN & DNR of EC Rly.

 

 

 

IMPORTANT ACHIEVEMENTS:

Combined Crew Booking Lobbies at Howrah, Bandel, Rampurhat, Pakur, Azimganj & Katwa have been organized.

06 Nos. of Weighbridges at Pakur, Rajgram, Dankuni, Howrah Parcel Area (All are under AMC up to 2014), Howrah Goods (AMC up to 2016) and Chatra (under warranty period i.e. up to 08/11/12).

All Crew Booking lobbies have been connected with CMS except BWN and out sourced which have been stopped from 15/03/12.

Simultaneous fueling facilities of Up & Dn train by duel flow meter at Rampurhat have been commissioned. Additional dispensing point for fuelling of multi loco at a time in both Up & Dn direction has also been commissioned. Simultaneous fueling facilities for both sides Power Car of DEMU has been commissioned on Up direction.

Savings of HSD oil by shutdown of engines has been increased from 1034475 liters to 1127632 liters. Thus more savings of 93157 liters in comparison with the last year (April to March 2012).

No Running Staff are running overdue Refresher Training and PME.

Replacement of Steel Girders by PSC Slab ofBridge Nos. 94, 100, 176, 223, 226, 228, 241, 257, 265, 266, 43, Service Girders installed in between SNT-Kunuri & FOB work at RPH with the help of 140T BD Crane/RPH during the year 2011-12 (up to 15/03/12).

Shifting of coach “CHIRONTONI” from existing location to new “GITANJALI MUSEUM” at Bolpur on 08.07.2011.
